Those who prefer to eat locally grown/produced food sometimes call themselves this.
At The Light Well we strive to serve as much local food as we can.
When referring to food, the word “local” targets anything from right down the street to a farm that might be 100 miles away, as long as it’s from the same state you are in. We feel it is important to serve products from anywhere in this beautiful state, but we want to put emphasis on using farms that are close to us. We have partnered with Orange’s own produce distributor, The Fresh Link, out of Madison, less than 10 miles away,
as well as Retreat Farm in Rapidan, only 5 miles away. The Light Well promises to deliver fresh, local ingredients to your table as much as we possibly can. And we will make sure to let you know about every local bite that’s on our menu.
